King’s Camps is the UK’s leading sport and activity camp provider for children during the school holidays.  Working with King’s Camps is a fantastic opportunity to earn money during the holidays while working in the outdoors, coaching sport and having fun. 

A King's Camps Play Leader is responsible for the planning, preparation and delivery of a range of activities such as fun team games, arts and crafts and drama games to the younger children on a King's Camp activity camp. 

The Play Leader is responsible for the care and safety of the group of children aged between 4 and 10 years in their care and for delivering a fun and varied play experience.  As well as supervising a group of children throughout each week on camp, the play leader is also responsible for designing and coordinating the daily extended hours programme, which takes place at the beginning and end of every camp day and includes arts and crafts, drama games, play activities and sports for children aged between 4 and 17 years.

Skills Match

  • Ideal candidates will have an NVQ in childcare or be studying primary teaching, childcare or an art related degree.
  • Experience of working with children aged 4-10 years is essential along with good organisational and creative skills.
  • Having a current First Aid qualification will significantly increase the chance of selection.

Benefits

  • Hours of work are generally between 8am and 6pm, during the holidays and will be confirmed by contract.
  • Rate of pay is dependent upon contract.
