Key Duties:
- Assist the evening entertainment team
- Ensure all campers are put to bed at an appropriate time; are in their own rooms, quiet and settled, and respond to any issues accordingly
- Nightime supervision of the campus buildings and grounds
- Respond to night-time incidents• Monitor fire alarm systems• Liaise with senior and medical staff
- Maintain document logs and incident report files• Enjoy yourself!
Points to note:
We are looking for trustworthy, reliable individuals to maintain site security during night hours. Experience in the field of security and / or shift work would be advantageous. You should be effective at assessing and evaluating situations, quick-thinking and a good problem solver. You will be required to create and maintain accurate paper trails.
Personal requirements / characteristics:
You need to be equipped to work during the night and often alone. You should be able to manage your time effectively and work on your own initiative. A positive attitude to work and a genuine interest in kids and young people is essential, as is the ability to respond quickly and act effectively in the event of an incident. You should have an open mind and be tolerant of all cultures, races and languages, as well as being friendly, approachable and empathetic -you will be the first point of call should any camper require settling or assistance during the night. Above all, you should be a team player who is kind, caring, and easy going! It is essential to have experience with children and a basic knowledge of first aid would be useful.
